Turkey Noodle Soup Recipe

Prep Time:  20 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients:

4 shredded carrots

9 cups turkey, homemade

1 chopped onion

3 sliced celery ribs

½ teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon rubbed sage

1 bay leaf

3 whole cloves

¼ cup macaroni, uncooked

¼ cup fresh chopped parsley

2 cups cooked turkey, diced


Directions:


1.    Combine the first 6 ingredients in a Dutch oven or large kettle.

2.    Tie the bay leaf and cloves in cheesecloth and include that in the kettle.

3.    Bring the mixture to boil, reduce the heat.

4.    Cover and simmer for 1 hour

5.    Add  macaroni, parsley and turkey

6.    Cover and simmer for extra 15 minutes until the macaroni becomes tender

7.    Do away with the spice bag

8.    Start serving

 

Tips:

·       You can use chicken broth if you can’t get turkey

·      The amount of ingredients can increase or decrease depending on the number of servings.
