Directions:

1.    Boil the 10 cups of water

2.    Add oxtails, celery, tomatoes, onions, bay leaf and carrots

3.    Bring to boil

4.    Lower the heat and simmer for 1 hour. Stir occasionally

5.    Add barley and simmer for  1 more hour

6.    Start serving  when done

 

Tips

·       Add pepper and salt to taste

·       The amount of ingredients can be higher or lower depending on the number of servings required.

·       You can serve the oxtail side by side. You can as well tear off the meat and shred it into tiny pieces before putting them back into the stew.
