Easy to Make Orange Banana Smoothie Recipe

This tasty, easy-to-make orange banana smoothie is great as a healthy virtually fat-free breakfast fruit beverage.

In case you didn’t know, a smoothie is a blended drink made from fresh fruit. In some cases they are made from fresh vegetables such as spinach, kale, swiss chard, celery, parsley and broccoli.

You can chose a vegetable of your liking and blend it with your favorite fruit to create your own smoothie.

You always want to use crushed ice when blending your smoothie, or you can use frozen fruit instead. If you desire a little sweetener use honey or malt syrup.

Some folks like to use milk in their smoothie to give it a creamier taste. Adding milk will give your smoothie a milk-shake like consistency.

If you are counting your calories or trying to lose weight remember the more ingredients you add, the higher the calories and fat.

I am sure you will enjoy this easy-to-make orange banana smoothie recipe because it is light and refreshing. It is literally fat-free but delicious at the same time.

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients:

1 ripe small banana (6” to 6 - 7/8”)

1 ¼ cup freshly squeezed orange juice

½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice

½ cup strawberries

1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed

5 – 6 ice cubes or crushed ice



Directions:

1. Squeeze the orange and lemon juice from fresh oranges and lemon.

2. Mix the orange juice, lemon juice, banana, strawberries, flaxseed and ice in a blender, and blend until smooth. 

3. Pour in a glass and enjoy

Tip: Don’t throw away your very ripe bananas, freeze them in a freezer bag and use them to make your daily banana orange smoothie.
