Gratifying Jerk Fish Recipe

We so much like following a simple jerk fish recipe at home. Although it takes up to an hour to get done, we still enjoy the delicacy at the end of the day. It’s known to be very rich and gratifying.

The Jerk fish is good for the heart. It can be baked, fried, steamed or cooked. It’s always very delicious in any form. You can use it for your breakfast. You can also take it alongside other breakfast meals. You can eat it with soup or stew during lunch or dinner. Here’s the simple recipe to use:

 

Prep Time:  1 hrs 30 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Yield: 4 servings

 

Ingredients:

1 pound tilapia fillet

1 scotches bonnet peppers, seeded and chopped

1 medium chopped onion

4 garlic cloves, chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 juice of lime

2 teaspoons thyme

2 tablespoons maple syrup, 100% natural

½ teaspoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon cinnamon

2 teaspoon allspice

2 teaspoon black pepper

 

 

Tip:

The amount of ingredients increases or decreases depending on the number of serving targeted.

 

Directions:

1.    Use a food processor or blender to mix all other ingredients excluding the tilapia

2.    Place the tilapia in a bowl and coat with puree. Allow it to marinate for 1 hour or more.

3.    Spray a large skillet with nonstick spray and start cooking the mixture on a medium-high heat.

4.    Add the fish and cook for 5 minutes or less

5.    Serve with vegetables.
