Delicious Cod Fish Recipe

Cod fish recipe is indeed one of our favorites during holidays. It’s very quick and healthy. You don’t need to spend much time in getting the delicacy ready. The ingredients are at your beck and call.

You can prepare cod fish sticks by following the cooking directions. You can also use other types of seafood products to get the delicacy prepared. You can take it as dessert or snacks. You can also take it alongside your breakfast meal, lunch or dinner. The recipe is given below:


Prep Time:  30 minutes

Bake Time: 15 minutes

Yield: 4 servings



1 pound cod fish fillet

½ teaspoon cayenne

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons water to prepare egg-wash

1 egg, gently beaten

2 cups panko or 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs

¼ cup almonds, finely chopped (optional)

¼ cup olive oil

4 tablespoons butter

Flour (for dredging)



·       Aside from Cod, the fish fillets can be of any quality type such as trout, haddock, salmon, tilapia, whitefish and so on

·       The amount of ingredients increases or decreases depending on the number of serving targeted.



1.    Cut the fillets into ½ inch strips.

2.    Season with salt, cayenne and pepper, and then set aside.

3.    Place flour in a small pan and set it aside.

4.    Place egg-wash into another small pan and set aside.

5.    Use another pan to mix breadcrumb or panko. Include almonds if you desire.

6.    Dredge the cod strips in flour. Shake off the excess

7.    Dip in the egg-wash and also into the bread crumb mixture.

8.    Set the coated fish on waxed paper-lined sheet pan.

9.    Use a large skillet to oil and butter over moderate heat.

10. Add coated fish strips and cook for 4 minutes or less until golden brown. You can cook in batches if required.

11. Transfer fish strips to paper towels and allow draining.

12. Start serving.
