Cauliflower Soup Recipe

You can eat healthy by following a simple cauliflower soup recipe. The cooking procedure is very easy and unique. 

You've got to use recommended ingredients and also follow the necessary directions.

Actually, cauliflower is an edible vegetable that is very low in fat and carbohydrates. It’s rather high in dietary fiber and vitamin C.

The nutritional density of the vegetable is very high. It’s known for fighting cancer.

It can be chewed raw, chopped, roasted, fried, steamed, boiled or used in preparing delicious sauce. Here’s a simple cooking guideline to follow.

 

Prep Time:  5 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients:

2/3 chopped onion

1 head cauliflower, broken into florets

¼ cup All-purpose flour

¼ cup butter

2 cups half-and-half cream

2 cups chicken broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

¾ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup fresh parsley or minced chives

Directions:


1.    Combine cauliflower and water in a large saucepan

2.    Bring to a boil, reduce heat.

3.    Cover and cook for 10 minutes until the mixture becomes tender.

4.    Drain and reserve some liquid, then keep aside.

5.    Fry onions in butter using the same saucepan

6.    Add flour, cook and stir until  it becomes bubbly

7.    Add broth

8.    Boil over medium heat, cook and stir for 2 minutes until it becomes thickened.

9.    Reduce heat, add  cream, Worcestershire sauce and 1 cup  of cooking liquid

10. Stir in cauliflower and add salt

11.Remove from heat, add cheese and stir

12. Sprinkle with parsley or chives, and then start serving.

 

Tip:

·     The amount of ingredients can increase or decrease depending on the number of servings.
