Palatable Hawaiian Vegetable Recipe

You only need to gather the recommended ingredients according to the number of servings you’re targeting.

You equally need to follow the cooking directions specified. You have to prepare the sauce and then, the vegetables.

Prep Time:  15 minutes

Cook Time:  15 minutes

Yield: 8 servings


For the Sauce

1 minced garlic clove

2 teaspoons gingerroot, grated or minced

1/3 cup soy sauce, low sodium

3 tablespoons water

½ teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey

½ cup water

2 tablespoons cornstarch


For the Vegetables

2 celery ribs, sliced

2 medium carrots julienned and peeled

1 medium sliced zucchini

2 cups cauliflower


1.    Turn on medium high heat and place a small saucepan on it

2.    Combine ginger, garlic and  3 tablespoons  of water

3.    Cover and heat for 2 minutes

4.    Add honey or brown sugar together with onion and soy sauce

5.    Blend cornstarch and water in a small bowl, Stir until everything is smooth

6.    Add to pan and cook. Make sure you stir constantly until the mixture becomes bubbly and thick. Set it aside

7.    Bring ½ cup water to a  boil in a large skillet with tight fitting lid

8.    Add cauliflower and carrot, then steam for 2 minutes

9.    Add zucchini and celery, then steam for 3 minutes until the vegetables become crispy and tender

10. Drain the veggies if necessary

11. Start serving by pouring the sauce on top. You can toss gently to allow perfect combination



·       You can either use brown sugar or honey

·       The amount of ingredients increases or decreases depending on the number of servings targeted.
